Bat out of Hell

Tutorial is made in PSP10 and Animation Shop 3

Let's start

Open the template, close my toplayer, save the tag with a new name so you 

don't lose the template ;) 

Go to the frame layer. Selections all, float , defloat.

Selections - Modify - Contract by 3.

Rightclick on the frame layer and Promote Selection to Layer, Deselect.

Recolor it black and duplicate it 2 times.

add Alien Skin Xenofex 2 Burnt Edges with these settings to all 3 layers,

remember to hit the Random Seed button for the oher 2.

Add the tube you wanna use place it to the left, to remove access go to the bat layer, 

select all, float, defloat, Invert, then back on the tube layer, hit Delete. Deselect.

Duplicate it twice, mirror one of them and change Blend Mode on the right one to Lighten.

On the other one (above the original) I changed blend mode to Overlay (see what looks best for 

you in the end). Add a drop shadow to the orignal, -1, -7, 30, 3, black.

Go to the bat layer, use Arial to type "BAT OUT OF HELL" with Capital letters, 

size 14, color white, Object align center in canvas before you convert to raster layer.

Then add Mura's Meister Copies with these settings

First remove access outside the bat, go to the bat layer, select all, float, defloat, Invert

then back on the wordart layer hit Delete. Then we wanna remove the wordart 

to the right of the middle section.

Use the Selection tool on Rectangle to select it and hit Delete.

Go to the bat later select all, float, defloat, add 3 new raster layers above the wordart layer.

on them add Alien Skin Eye Candy 5 Nature - Fire  with these settings

Hit the Random Seed button for the second and third layer.

Selections - Invert, then hit delete on all three fire layers 

to make sure no fires are ouside the frame. Deselect.

Add name with Horny Devils BV font, I used the same color as the frame, and placed on the right.

Add proper ©, I gave mine a tiny gradient glow in orange to go with the batpaper.

Close 2 of the Fire layers and 2 of the Burnt Edges layers, and the white background

layer (I also close my name layer and add it later), Copy Merged.

Open Animation Shop. 

Paste as new Animation.

Close the fire and burnt edges layer you used and open the next one, Copy merged,

paste after current in Ani Shop, and do the same with the last fire and burnt edges layers.

That makes 3 frames, select all, copy, go to the third one and paste after current, then 

we have 6 frames. 

Open the Bat animation (ANIbat2) Select all, copy.

Back on your tag, select all, hold down the Ctrl key and hit E, then you see the first 

small bat, place it below the left "bat ear" like this

Change frame properties to 25, view Animation and if you're happy with it.

(I always add names in Ani Shop , same way as with the bat animation, add it on your tag

in PSP to see how you like it, then copy just the name, paste as new animation in Ani Shop,

paste after current til you have 6 frames, and add it same way as the bat, I added mine on the right side 

where it doesn't crash with the bat.)

Save as...
